Event Details

On October 21, 2007 the Panhellenic Council will sponsor a 5K run and walk to benefit Peaceful Paths and Women Build – Habitat for Humanity of Alachua. The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Commuter Lot on Gale Lemerand Drive and wind through campus ending at 10 a.m. with an awards ceremony to follow. Free breakfast will be served for all 5K particpants. The event is open to all members of the community, and runners may enter individually or in a group. Registration will be available in September on our website, www.ufpanhellenic.com. Peaceful Paths is a local organization that provides emergency shelter, transitional housing, and children’s programs for the victims of domestic abuse. More information can be found on their website www.peacefulpaths.org. Women Build of Alachua is a Habitat for Humanity International program that encourages women and girls to make a difference building homes and communities.
